Microdermals - info 

These are usually permanent piercings. Anchored under the skins surface the small foot on the jewellery has small holes to allow tissue to grow through and anchor the piece in. Removal usually is to be cut out. 

Placement is usually anywhere on the body however at Joe's we advise against facial dermals due to scarring. Other areas such as underside of the wrist and other areas with main arteries/veins are also to be avoided. 

 

 

Surface piercing - info 

These are a piercing done using a staple shape type bar. They sit under the surface of the skin allowing 2 gems/balls to be shown. 

These are not permanent and can be removed should need be. They are not a piercing you would remove unless to lose the piercing. The gems/balls can be changed over but the bar stays in. 

 

 

Skin Divers - Info 

These are a single point surface piercing which have a small diamond top and a disc shaped bottom. They are smaller than the dermals and don't have a "foot" therefore can be placed closer together to make patterns. They are a very easy piercing and heal within a week. They can be removed if need be by gently massaging the piercing to release the tissue holding the foot till it pops out.
